Living in bags for 30 days gets long.
It's exciting at first, no cleaning, no cooking, no household responsibilities. Then, reality sets in…
You are never alone, the limited toys you brought with you are not as attractive anymore. Restaurant food gets old. Everyone has to go to bed at 7:00 pm... unless you are lucky enough to have a hotel suite.

I've figured a few tricks to surviving life in hotels with toddlers.
- Make sure the hotel has a pool and utilize it as much as possible
- Make friends with other couples with kids in the hotel.. (Trade toys, books and they can play together while mum and dad eat or have a drink)
- Buy fresh food at the local grocery store and have picnics (indoors or outdoors.. kids will love it)
- Doing laundry in a tub sucks (Laundromat don't exist in the UK) but getting the little one involved was a half day soapy wet blast
- Flashlights and headlamps can make anything fun. Try packing in the dark with headlamps. This little one was so excited to pack yet again
- Explore the surroundings of the hotel
- Try to be as friendly as possible with the housekeepers, grounds keepers, etc. You never know what odd request you'll have
- Have breakfast included in your stay and bring and extra large handbag with you. Snatch a few bananas or apples for the day. Also, let your kids eat as much as they want… it will save you money and time when you are running around throughout the day
- Bring a bottle opener.. because living in a hotel is rough.. you deserve a glass of wine at the end of the day.
